To empower girls economically 6 vocational training centers and one vocational training institute are run in the three blocks of the project areas. The vocational training institute called Swavalamban (self-dependent or self-sufficient) provide skills in 8 trades (stitching and cutting, beautician course, paintings, soft toy making, embroidery, knitting, computer training and spoken English training).  They have also introduced two new trades to develop the technical interest in girls rather than training them on trades that strengthen the gender roles. Repairing of mobiles and electronic goods are trades that normally girls do not identify themselves with but to bring about change in their thought process these trades were also included apart from the 8 above mentioned trades. In the first phase 161 girls received training and qualified. In the second phase 123 girls were enrolled in various trades. 81 girls are receiving training in both cutting and embroidery, 19 girls are receiving training in beautician course and mehndi art and 12 girls are receiving training in basic computer application and 6 girls are receiving training mobile repairing and 5 girls are receiving training in repair of Electronic goods.

The other 5 vocational training centers are being run in 5 project villages of three blocks with the support of the community. The trainers are paid fees by the girls who receive training. 122 girls have been receiving training in cutting, stitching, painting, embroidery and glass painting.

36th days training of fashion designing: Seeing the demand and importance of fashion designing 31 girls of village Rahimpur got the training of advanced fashion designing with the support of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), a branch of Union Bank of India.

Output: As a result of the training the girls became trained to prepare the cloths with new pattern and design. The girls are saving their own money by preparing the designed cloths for their family and themselves. Besides it, they are indulging to get opportunity of work at large level.

Training on beauty clinic: Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), a branch of Union Bank of India has organized 36th days beauty clinic training for the rural girls so that they may be self dependent and self supported. The training was started on 11th June, 2011 with 30 girls.
