The Varanasi Sari industries are spread in vast stretches in urban and rural areas of Varanasi and its surrounding districts employing a very big majority of Child Labour. Through its fund G.F.C. reached the children of the “Last Mile” in the urban areas of the oldestliving city of the world. G.F.C. brought welfare oriented initiatives which support them and establishes preventive measures to restrict movements of children at risk to the Varanasi sari making looms. The minority Muslims and Dalits who were unable to participate in welfare schemes returns to mainstream of development through G.F.C., H.W.A. is utilising G.F.C.’s grant for good causes like education, sanitation and hygiene practices awareness and sensitization as well as capacity building of staffs community volunteers and school going children and youths.
