Mega Event on 29th March’2005, by Banaras Bunker Samiti (Sangthan) has organized its own event with the facilitation of HWA with the chief guest: ambassador of Philippines to India, Mrs. Laura Quiambao Del Rosario.

Organized several workshops, training programs, orientation programs on the issue of Handloom weavers, Handloom Mark, G.I. Act, joyful learning on education, quality education in the government schools, roles and responsibilities of Panchayat in quality development in the govt. schools, Save Girls – Save Society, Stop Female Feticides programs, gender issues, communal harmony – child rights and various issues related to the child development, mainstreaming of Muslim children through education program.

Participated in International workshop on WTO at New Delhi organized by Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India and UNCTAD invited HWA to participate in a meeting chaired by Director General, WTO, Mr. Pascal Lamy with the Minister of Commerce, Economy and trade from 5 countries.

Geographical Indication (GI) for Banarasi Saree: Human Welfare Association is a applicant of Banaras Sari & Brocades and taken the pioneer initiative in the field of intellectual property right through G.I. and recently Registered for handmade carpet of Bhadohi and has also prepared to application of G.I. for Kosa Silk Saris of Chhatisgarh.
